15 Fall Flavored Trader Joe’s Snacks You need for your next Readathon
Trader Joe’s is a cornucopia of cute, trendy and delicious grocery items! There is something compelling about the packaging of the items sold that makes grocery shopping that much more fun! This year I am trying to embody my ideal bookish cozy aesthetic during all of my Fall Readathons and that requires cute snacky snacks while reading. Please tell me other readers have aesthetic versions of themselves that live in their head too?
Here are my favorite snacks that I have seen at Trader Joes that would make cute, tasty and aesthetic snacks while reading. Some I have tried and loved, some I have tried and didn’t love, and some I am anxiously waiting to try!!! I would love to hear your opinions on the 2021 Trader Joe’s Fall Flavored items too!
Trader Joe’s Snacky Snacks with ZERO effort needed (AKA no cooking or assembly required)
Pumpkin Spiced Teeny Tiny Pretzels
I got these and can officially say they are delicious!!! I have actually already gone back a second time for another bag! As long as you are reading indoors (where it is not hot) this is a no mess yummy fall snack to eat while reading!Rating this one 5 out of 5 pumpkins!
Pumpkin Spiced Batons
I haven’t tried these yet but I can 100% picture the Gilmore Girls having a night of watching competitive dance of some kind with these batons. It reminds me of their biscotti night!!! These look like they would provide super easy access for mindlessly snacking while reading too!
This Pumpkin Walks Into A Bar Cereal Bars
These have a subtle pumpkin flavor to it and the texture is smooth which gets full approval from me. The star of this snack is the name though! How cute is that?!?!?Trader Joe’s totally delivers with the cheeky-ness of this snack! I rate these 4 out of 5 pumpkins.
Maple Flavored Sea Salt Kettle Corn
I am a huge kettle corn fan so I was excited to give this fall flavored snack a try, but it was just a little too sweet for my taste. I rate this one 3 out of 5 pumpkins.
Ghosts and Bats Crispy Potato Snacks
I haven’t had a chance to test these out yet, but they are appealing because they are one of the few fall flavored snacks that have nothing to do with pumpkin spice! I have recently found out that I don’t mind a bit of pumpkin spice, but I can only take so much of it!These would be so much fun for kids, parties, and for getting into the Halloween spirit! It also looks like a fairly mess free experience for a reading snack.

Pumpkin Hold the Cone
Trader Joe’s has both pumpkin spiced ice cream and these cute little pumpkin spiced mini cones. I felt like the ice cream would be too sweet for me so I tried out these tiny cones with some simply chocolate ice cream and it was DELICIOUS!WARNING: If you choose to eat ice cream while reading be careful of the melt factor! No one wants sticky book pages.
Fall Leaf Corn Tortilla Chips
I love the IDEA of these chips for creating a fun fall aesthetic for my snacking needs, BUT every bag I came across contained mostly broken chips. I suppose broken leaves are also indicative of the Fall season, but I personally wanted intact leaves! If you happen to come across a bag that isn’t all broken then I think these would be a fun fall snackto eat with your favorite salsa or dip! (Hence why there is some effort needed to put the snack together and definitely a mess factor to look out for with your books!)
Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread
This is amazing! Someone on Instagram recommended it to me (I can’t remember who now I’m sorry!!!) and now I am in love. If you are a bagel snack lover than give this one a try!!! (Mess factor obvi!!!)
Pumpkin Spiced Hummus
When I put this on my Instagram for everyone to rate whether they would eat it or not this one got a very large group of DEFINITELY NOT’S. I am also giving a NO for the pumpkin spiced hummus. I just don’t think this particular snack is for me but it is VERY aesthetic and if you are looking for an aesthetic fall flavored snack while reading then this one is at the very top of the list. It is too unique NOT to be aesthetic right?!?!
Salted Caramel Hot Cocoa
A warm cup of (insert your favorite drink here) in a cute bookish mug is my favorite reading aesthetic and I am a huge hot cocoa lover. I love that Trader Joe’s gifted us a fall flavored hot cocoa that was NOT pumpkin spiced again!!!
Trader Joe’s Fall flavored snacks that require a bit of effort…AKA you at least need to use a microwave, and maybe even an oven.
Pumpkin Spiced Oatmeal Cookies
I am 100% sure that I will love these cookies if I ever get the chance to taste them…I just do not have faith in my ability to not be lazy and actually bake them! It is a mix that requires the mixing, and scooping and heating to all be done by you…the baker. However, if you have time this is a very cute bookish look. Home baked cookies for a readathon snack??!? Doesn’t that just sound so nice!!!
Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese
I CANNOT WAIT TO TRY THIS!!!! Unfortunately it has been sold out at my Trader Joe’s every time I have gone shopping BUT that must mean that it is super delicious right?!?! I am determined to try this!
Pumpkin Rolls
These were a bit too sweet for my breakfast tastes but they would make for a great dessert. I would refrain from eating these entirely while reading though because it is impossible not to have sticky fingers. I give these 3 out of 5 pumpkins
Sweet Cinnamon Filled Korean Pancakes
This is another fall flavored item that I have not had the chance to try but I have my eye on!! So many people have recommended these to me and I will definitely be giving them a try this season!
Pumpkin Empanadas
Last but not least are these Pumpkin Empanadas, that I will be honest and say…I AM JUST NOT SURE I AM BRAVE ENOUGH TO TRY!!! I will say that these have also come highly recommended to me though, so I should put my big girl panties on and give them a chance! These would be easy to snack on while reading too (once they were made of course. There is some assembly required which means stopping your reading for a few minutes to make them.)
