I know that you all really want to know all of the things that I am currently obsessing over so I thought I would share a few of my favorite things each week. I mean, “I can’t help it that I’m so popular!” 😉 I will share things that are either newly out, or new to me each week in my “Favorite Things” series!
Favorite Things: Books
Like everyone and their mothers, I wanted to read A Court of Silver Flames. Being the procrastinator that I am I OF COURSE forgot to preorder it though, and my Barnes and Noble sold out the first day. I actually prefer the UK paperback edition which is already available though so I think I will order that one instead! (Update I got the hardback from Barnes and Noble because the UK paperback is currently out of stock…sad)
I found this phone book for books and it is literally my new favorite thing. It is full of literary advertisements of books with extensions to call for podcasts and actual phone numbers to bookstores around the world!

Two Bookshelftees shirts launched this week that I absolutely NEED! The Stay Home and Read and 10 Things I Hate About You shirts.
FaceBook Jane Austen Groups!!! I have evidently been living under a rock because who knew that there were thousands and thousands of people grouped together ready to talk about Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen and Colin Firth all in their own respective groups! Needless to say, I am signed up for all of them now.
I have absolutely NO ROOM in my apartment for a comfy reading chair but that doesn’t stop me from wanting them!
Favorite Things: Movies
I’m not really sure I would list this as a new favorite but Covid has deprived me of so many new movies that I pounce on them when they arrive now. Nicholas Cage is starring in a new movie, Willy’s Wonderland and he literally has ZERO lines. He is the main character and he never speaks…this just proves the extreme power of the Nicholas Cage facial expressions. It’s technically horror but I would categorize it more as Dark Comedic Horror, like The Heathers.
Favorite Things: Blogging
I am relatively new to blogging and the first thing I looked up was who to follow. I shamelessly googled “Book bloggers to follow” and came up with a few great lists and then stumbled onto a couple individuals too! My favorite links were 20 Book Bloggers of Color to follow, The Modern Mrs. Darcy, and The Book Riot.
I also stumbled upon a link giving recommendations for how to help your blogging friends. I am a huge perfectionist so I was afraid to begin blogging until I had done a ton of research and knew how to make a blog that I felt looked “pretty”. Each blog post takes me at least 5 hours to write and then edit so it is a ton of work! Support from friends is a huge help, especially in the beginning. Giving me tips to create content that you really want so that you are more likely to read what I am creating would be an awesome help! Plus, just subscribing puts a huge smile on your blogger friends faces!

I stumbled upon a couple new Bookstagrammers this week:
@Anintrovertedblogger – I will be honest and say I discovered her after she very generously shared my Book Borrowing Rules post, and I am so glad I found her! She has a blog too!
@booksmarty – I found her page through the reels explore page and I love her! She is fun and energetic and makes me smile while watching all of her reels and posts.
@thestarlitpage – Has beautiful and creative bookish aesthetic posts!
Favorite Things: Non-Bookish Lifestyle
I have been experimenting with different hair care products because I run into the issue of too much oil production which leaves me flaky…uggh. Target carries a brand that I am really starting to like though, and I found it available on Amazon here as well.
If you are at all interested in Clean Beauty and products that are good for you and the environment then I am sure you have heard of Beauty Counter. One product I am actually really loving is the All-Bright C Serum. I have seen a huge improvement in my old Acne scars from using it daily!
There is a Fitness boxing game on the Nintendo Switch that is SO much fun and gives a pretty good workout! The second game just came out and It is perfect for anyone wanting, or needing to stay home during Covid quarantines. I have so much fun with my home workouts with this game!
